Chapter 18 Summary

Alison's tub and body arrive at Quantico. Everyone, but Lamarr, stands in on the autopsy. From the X-rays they take of the body in the tub, they can that there is some kind of a metal tool underneath her that wasn't at the other crime scenes.

Dr. Stavely, the FBI pathologist, starts to cut the body out of the hardened paint in the tub. He finds a screwdriver under the body. The doctor confirms that the scratch marks on her face are superficial and were probably self-inflicted and made with the screwdriver. He still doesn't have any idea on how she died, but speculates it could be suffocation or by stopping the heart since there are no other indications of the cause of death. The doctor also theorizes she got into the tub after filling it with paint. He says he read the autopsies from the other...
