Chapter 9 Summary

Ten minutes later, Lisa Harper unlocks the door and introduces herself. She's the agent assigned to escort Reacher wherever he goes. She takes him down to the Behavioral Science office in the old bunker of the building. Blake, Lamarr's boss and one of the agents that was in New York, gives Reacher crime scene photos of mutilated women that crossed Petrosian. Poulton and Lamarr join them.

They go over the details of the latest murder victim. Reacher focuses on the photograph of the hallway of the latest crime scene. He notices and mentions to the group that there is no sign of a struggle—the picture and shelves on the wall are untouched.
