Murderers by Leonard Michaels Summary
Murderers is a short story about an incident that occurred in a young boy's life. The narrator begins by talking about the death of his Uncle Moe, and then changes to him and some friends, including Oily Arnold and Harold Cohen, who are playing in their apartment building. They go up to the roof and see their rabbi having sex with his wife, in addition to a wide panorama of city sights. The narrator discusses their fascination with the rabbi's wife's wigs and how they change. However, the boys are playing around and Arnold falls off the roof, unable to keep his balance. The rabbi sees them and eventually sends them to some kind of camp run by WWII veterans.
