Summary

Emily listens to a Two Girls, One Murder podcast episode on the Villa Rosato Horror. The hosts discuss parallels between Lilith Rising and Pierce’s murder. John Dorchester, Johnnie, was convicted of the crime, and later killed himself in prison.

In Chapter 7, Emily and Chess spend the day in Orvieto. It is the first time Emily feels their friendship is “back on track” (110). Emily says she is listening to the podcast, but does not reveal that she read Lilith Rising or has “been thinking about the book” and Godwick ever since (111).
