Chapters 10-12 Summary

In Chapter 10, Glitsky and Hardy go to the scene of Dido's murder and discuss the possibility that Baker did it. Even though the circumstantial evidence seems to point in Baker's direction, Glitsky continues to be skeptical, suggesting Baker only ran out of fear. At that same time, Baker parks his car behind a church and goes looking for a gun. Hardy and Glitsky once again fight over the suspect in Ingraham's death and argue whether or not Ingraham is even dead. Hardy insists the body floated out into the bay and is determined to prove it.

In Chapter 11, Hardy has a picnic with Frannie and a friend of hers. Hardy feels happy and safe with Frannie. Afterwards, Hardy visits a friend at an aquarium and borrows a wet suit after deciding the best way to see how a body would float...
