Point of View
The point of view of The Vibrant Years is entirely third-person, shifting between the characters of Bindu, Cullie, and Aly chapter-by-chapter. Each chapter is named after whichever character whose perspective the events are told from, and the split between the three characters allows for more psychological exploration of what each of them is going through. Bindu's perspective is the most mature one of the three, which makes sense given that she is the eldest at around 65 years old. Bindu's chapters also provide intrigue because of the fact that she has a lot of secrets that she has kept from many of the other characters in the novel, meaning the reader gets a glimpse at them before many of the other characters themselves do.
