Summary

Chapter 24 begins with Aly having just “made out” with Ashish, against her better judgment (234). Meanwhile, before she goes over to Bindu’s for dinner with Rohan(/Rishi), the promo for her interview with Meryl Streep is about to run – it seems that she has won the privilege of interviewing her. She calls her mother, who asks her more about getting back with Ashish and what it “matter[s] that [she has] the segment” even though she doesn’t “have a family” (236). She finds no one in the screening room at work, and she goes into Joyce’s office to find they are not screening the promo, and Joyce asks her about Bindu, having found out that “she was the one who tricked Richard…out of his money” (237).
