Summary

Chapter 20 begins with Cullie and Rohan together, right after Cullie helps him by recovering a file on his computer. They talk about their jobs together — Rohan is a filmmaker. Then, he talks about his mother and how she died of cancer “three years ago” (190). They continue to get closer, and he brushes a curl of hair away from Cullie’s forehead. As they talk, Rohan pulls out a journal of his deceased grandfather’s, who was a famous filmmaker himself, detailing “a love affair from his youth” (195). Rohan is trying to meet up with this woman for a documentary he is working on. She invites him to dinner with her family.
