Summary

In Part IV: "The Stage Door (1982)," Chapter 10, Jude waited tables while applying for medical school. She and Reese lived together in a dingy apartment, trying to save money.

Meanwhile, Jude remained haunted by the woman at the Beverly Hills party. She was convinced the mother of the drunk white girl was Stella. Ever since, Jude had been dreaming of Stella, still desperate to find her.

Later that month, Barry was cast in the Stardust Theater's production of The Midnight Marauders. Jude and Reese attended opening night, where Jude was shocked to see the girl from the party on stage: Kennedy Sanders. After the performance, Jude lingered outside and encountered Kennedy.
