Weight

Even though Molly does not feel bad about herself because she is overweight, the opinions of other people evidenced through bullying, social media and advertising make Molly believe that no one will be able to love her because of the size of her body. Because of an instance of bullying in middle school, Molly still has to take anti-anxiety medication for panic attacks. Because of the skinny models and actresses portrayed in media Molly cannot picture a boy loving her because she is overweight. To make matters worse, Molly’s own grandmother makes snide comments about Molly’s weight in front of friends and family, adding to Molly’s belief that no one else will be able to accept her because of her weight.
