Summary

In Chapter 1, Molly meets Mina, a girl wearing a Georgie James t-shirt, in the restroom at the 9:30 Club. Molly knows right away that her fraternal twin sister, Cassie, would like the girl. Cassie and Molly are nothing alike with the exception that they are both white. Cassie is “blond, green-eyed, and willowy. I’m not any of those things. I’m brown-haired and brown-eyed and nowhere close to willowy” (4). Molly tells Cassie she met the perfect girl for her in the bathroom.

Later in the Metro, Molly, Cassie and their friend Olivia meet up with Mina and a couple of her friends whom Molly describes as hipster boys. Molly can tell that Cassie is attracted to Mina.
