Summary

In Chapter 18, the students go to their fieldtrip at the dealership. Mr. Kermit and Ms. Fountain are their chaperones. Jake gives the students a tour of the service center. Elaine chokes on a cookie and Barnstorm hits her with his crutch, knocking the cookie into the engine of a corvette. The students go back to school on the bus.

In Chapter 19, Jake continues to visit Mr. Kermit and his students, but Parker and the others thinks that he is doing so to get closer to Ms. Fountain, because they seem to like one another. Even so, all the kids love Jake and have a blast going to the dealership with him to learn different things. Mr. Kermit still seems to hate Jake, but he likes watching the kids excel at mechanics.
