Chapters 59-60 Summary

In Chapter 59, Neumann and Anna encounter a police blockade. Jenny makes some noise in the back of the van, and all of the police officers are killed by Anna and Neumann. Neumann piles the bodies in the old van and he, Anna and Jenny transfer to the police van. In the next blockades, the fugitives are waved through without stopping. They reach the docks and take the fishing boat Camille. Vicary traces them down and sends Dalton, Jordan and Clive to follow them in a police boat. The weather has become increasingly worse. Although the spies have no way of signaling the U-boat, it has moved closer to the shore and is watching for them.
