Summary

Chapter 1 opens on the day of Ami Torre’s wedding and it is clear from the start that she expects everything to be perfect. To ensure that everything will go as planned, Ami provides her identical twin sister ,Olive, with a meticulously written to do list that contains seventy-four items to be completed. When Olive lightheartedly suggests that her sister should have hired a wedding planner to take care of these details, Ami laughs as the ridiculousness of the suggestion.

For as long as Olive can remember, Ami has been incredibly lucky. This luck has allowed her to win an array of things including books, movie premiere tickets, a car, and unsurprisingly to her family, almost her entire wedding.
