Summary
Chapter 11 introduces Miles Shore, a professor of psychiatry, who researched the nature of collaborations by interviewing several high-profile partnerships, including Danny and Amos. Unlike the other partners he interviewed, Amos and Danny were willing to talk about the challenges of their collaboration, specifically Danny’s feeling that he did not receive his fair share of credit and public recognition and that Amos did not do enough to discourage this. Listening back to the tapes of these interviews years later Danny reflected that, although they did not yet know it at the time, their collaboration was clearly over.
