Summary

As they climb the tower, Meg wonders why there are no guards when Tarquin had mentioned doubling the flock here. She then reveals that she knows Apollo saw Peaches even though he did not tell her, as he felt the spirit herself. Then, Apollo is surprised to learn that the spirits are not trying to run as he thought, but Meg does not elaborate. Reyna also admits that everyone noticed that Lavinia left, but they tried to downplay it so as not to hurt morale. Then, Meg smells roses up above them.

Unfortunately, a flock of massive ravens attack them, and Apollo laments giving them the tools to kill. He tells the girls that he changed them from the white birds they used to be after they tattled on his cheating girlfriend, Koronis. They are furious to learn that Apollo had Koronis killed...
