Summary

In “Bullet Number Ten,” after Lily’s death, Hawley hired a cleaner to bribe the man doing Lily’s autopsy and clean the police report. Next, he went on a two-week bender after which Jove rescued him. Jove taught Hawley how to handle his grief and convinced him that he needed to live for Loo’s sake. Hawley made a list of his enemies, people he needed to kill before they could hurt him or Loo. One of these people was King, whom Jove managed to get put in jail for murder.

Hawley went first to Bighorn National Forest where he, Jove, and Frederick Nunn had bought some land together. They had tossed a coin to determine who got what part of the land. Nunn’s portion turned out to be worthless because it was declared a prairie...
