Summary
The preface starts on November 8, 2016, the last day of Kamala’s campaign for the senate. She went out with dinner with her family. While they were confident she was going to win, they waited for the votes in other states. Kamala won and reveals she was the first Black woman, senator-elect from her state, and the second in the nation. But everyone was shocked by the election of Donald Trump.
Kamala says, at the writing of the book, that the Trump administration has slowly become more corrupt and cares little for women, Blacks, or the middle-class.
