Summary
In Chapter 15, Jottie is happy when Emmett visits, but she grows worried when he admits that he came to town to talk to Sol because he heard some troublesome gossip about American Everlasting. Entering the room with Felix, Layla notes that she mistook Emmett for Felix the other day before the pair leaves to explore local historical sites.
