Summary
In Chapter 1, raccoon brothers Bingo and J'miah watch from their lookout as their family sets off into the night, leaving the boys at the Scout's Information Headquarters. They know the rules of being Scouts, but they also know that their biggest task - to wake up the Sugar Man - is highly dangerous. The Sugar Man sleeps in an unknown part of their forest and is known to wake up very mean if someone is to get past his pet rattlesnake, Gertrude.
The Sugar Man lives in a swamp in the Bayou Tourterelle many million years ago in Chapter 2. He is much larger than his famous cousins, like the Yeti and Sasquatch, and he is covered in large patches of black moss.
