Summary

In Chapter 9, Apollo, Meg, and Peaches head toward Camp Half-Blood. Apollo is thrilled to be able to see the camp, as it is invisible to mortals. Meg and Peaches both feel as if something is off, especially with respect to a plot of woods they must pass through. Apollo feels something is wrong, but he leads the way. They walk for hours. Apollo hears a woman’s voice in his head calling his name, telling him to find her, and speaking about the fall of the sun and the final verse. The voice goes on to tell him to hurry, that the fires will consume her. Apollo collapses in an icy stream. Meg pulls him out. She then orders the trees to stand aside. A campfire and a dozen teenagers are revealed. Apollo introduces himself to them as they stand. Then, Apollo passes out...
