Summary

In Chapter Seven, Meg’s coin summons a taxi run by the Gray Sisters Tempest, Wasp and Anger. Apollo describes them as ugly and undead with a single communal eye between them. Apollo turns off a TV that is running Late Night with Thalia which reminds him of the useless things he used to indulge in as a god. Apollo explains that the Gray sisters can tell the future for unknown reasons, but usually tell him unimportant things. They say that they will never tell him their doggerel, which he explains is an irregular line of poetry. But then, the sisters accuse Apollo of things he is not doing, such as threatening them, which eventually leads to their eye falling out of its socket. They give him a stanza of the actual prophecy that mentions bears, lions and snakes intertwined to overthrow...
