Summary

Eight-year-old Adam eventually recovered from his concussion and was soon able to recognize his parents again. Around the same time, Jane’s book was becoming highly renowned and popular. Her male colleagues vented their misogyny and jealousies by belittling her accomplishments, and even Jonathan showed some subtle signs of jealousy. One day, Jane was invited to a special event in New York City in special recognition of her book. At Jane’s request, Sima agreed to interview Jane onstage for the event. However, during the entirety of the trip, Jane sensed a subtle tension underlying Sima’s words and actions. Eventually, Jane realized that Sima was apparently jealous of Jane’s success.
