Summary
One day, Franz leaves the tobacconist’s early to go and watch for Anezka at the yellow house. She eventually comes outside and he follows her to a tucked-away performance hall near the Ferris wheel. Franz buys a ticket to the show and sits down. A man performs an impression of Adolf Hitler, who transforms into a dog and is tamed by a woman. Then, Anezka takes the stage dressed as a Native American woman. She gives a lewd boudoir performance and Franz is horrified by the enjoyment she takes in showing her body to the audience. He leaves, feeling defeated.
Franz waits outside to confront Anezka after the show. She exits with the master of ceremonies, a man named Heinzi. Franz asks Anezka if Heinzi owns her, and Anezka dodges the question. Then Franz venomously offers to pay money to sleep with...
