Summary
Percy and Annabeth return to the camp. Percy has to tell Nico about what happened to Bianca. Nico is heartbroken and blames Percy, saying he was supposed to protect Bianca. The skeletons that Atlas created appear, but Nico is able to banish them. Percy realizes that he is a child of Hades, which means that the prophecy applies not only to him and Thalia, but Nico as well. Nico runs off and Percy convinces the others not to tell anyone about Nico, vowing that he won’t let Kronos get to him. The book ends with Grover running over, telling them that he got a message on where to find Pan.
Analysis
This chapter simply ties up loose ends, introduces potential new wrinkles (to be explored in the next book), and Annabeth and Percy reconcile. What seems to still be hanging between them is...
