Chapters 13-14 Summary
The tripartite talks continue and Becky continues to have dreams about the Spanish woman. Her admiration for Adelaide grows as she watches her in the negotiations.
One of the students finds a statue that he thinks is Paracalsus in Hohenheim-Platz. There is one house there and Jim arrives with a bunch of roses, explaining that actresses need flattery. Fraulein Gonzalez agrees to see him. She is shocked when Jim says the want to help her free Prince Leopold from the grotto. The woman is jealous of Adelaide and believes that she should be Queen.
The actress keeps fighting them and trying to attack. They finally calm her down enough to hear her story. She feels that the old King knew what Godel was doing. She paid to have Wilhelm, his princess and Rudolf killed. Jim says they will try to free...
