Summary
In Part 2, the husband is glad to see the wife. She sits on his lap and comforts him. When he asks about Temi, the wife accidentally reveals that she has “been drinking” (65). The husband is worried she drove after drinking. The wife insists she is fine, as she is not pregnant.
Although the husband agreed to wait to have children, he recently started pressing the wife on the matter. She finally agreed to have one child if he promised his mother would never move in with them. They have only been trying for a month, but the husband is annoyed they have yet to conceive.
When he tells his wife he has had a bad day, she suggests he work from home for the rest of the day. He hopes they will have sex, but realizes Temi is still over. He agrees...
