Summary

In Chapter 8, Hallstein was playing with his children, acting the part of a hawk and wearing a hat shaped like a hawk when Katrine knocked on his door. He thought she was staring at the hives on his face and explained he had accidentally eaten something with nuts in it. Katrine told him she was there to talk to him about vampirism. He took her to a barn where his office was located. She commented on the big lock on the barn door and he explained that he had gotten that big one because someone had broken into his office and stolen his files.
