Summary
In chapter 12, Clare went to see Professor Berezniak, the professor who holds lectures on quantum physics and the afterlife. Professor Berezniak seemed surprised when Clare arrived because she has not had a student come to a lecture in months. They talked about the afterlife, Clare searching for answers about the probability that Richard reappeared. Professor Berzniak explained to Clare about the idea of simultaneous possibilities, which is everything that is possible within the universe is happening at the same time. "We have to apply limits on time in order for our brains to make sense of such a concept. Death is one such limit" the professor explained (110). The professor continued about deja vu, reincarnation and aliens to support her point of a consciousness is contained in multiple different entities at once, because of all the different possibilities that are currently occurring.
