Friendship
The novel explores friendship by showing that things are not always perfect between friends, that true friendship survives conflict and can grow stronger as a result of it, and that friendship has the power to change lives. The narrative explores these issues through the relationships Georgie has with Andy, Russ, Jeanie, his parents, and Andy’s grandmother.
Friendship changes the lives of Andy, Russ, Georgie, and Jeanie. Andy is able to make money due to Georgie’s idea to start a dog walking company. Later, he gets a great room with the help of Georgie’s and Russ’ great ideas.
Russ makes it through his performance with Geogie’s help. He also maintains his reputation of being a cool guy. If he had made the mistakes on stage that he made while going through his lines with Georgie, he would have embarrassed himself onstage. Public embarrassment...
