Gerogie's School
Georgie appears in his class at points in the novel which represent his journey towards growth. In the beginning of the novel life is normal for him and readers see how he interacts with Andy and Jeannie the Meanie. In the middle of the novel, when he is experiencing growing pains, his relationship with Andy is nonexistent and he has to work with Jeanie the Meanie. At the end of the novel, when he has grown, Georgie is friends with Andy, Russ, and Jeanie who he no longer calls a Meanie.
The school also shows the physical adjustments that have been made for Georgie (lower hooks and a stool for him to stand on). In all other ways though, the teacher treats him like all of the other children. He acts like them too, getting notes from Andy, ignoring Jeanie, and complaining when they cannot work on...
