Summary

In Chapter 30, “Leoneyis,” Owen and Evie talk about Tumore's suicide while Owen builds with his tiles. Owen feels that he is missing the information he needs to fully understand what is happening. Owen believes he may be the only person remaining who can retrieve the chest from the water. While they are talking, Owen hears The Fountain say that Owen will be one of the first people to see the Dreadful Deadman. They agree that Polidoro might have information they need. They agree that Polidoro is ultimately loyal to Severn, and that they should not trust him to keep any secrets.
