Summary

The Thief's Daughter opens with a list of realms and characters, describing some of the main leaders of this world and the three major kingdoms, Ceredigion, Occitania, and Atabyrion. Severn Argentine is the king of Ceredigion. Chatriyon Vertus is the king of Occitania, and Iago Llewellyn is the king of Atabyrion. The author lists the five men in the kingdom with the most authority. They are Owen Kiskaddon, Duke of Westmarch; Stiev Horwath, Duke of North Cumbria (typically referred to as the North); Jack Paulen, Duke of East Stowe; Thomas Lovel, Duke of Southport; and Dominic Mancini, head of the Espion.
