Calwyn

Calwyn is an 18-year-old girl from the city of Antaris in Tremaris. She has long dark hair and dark eyes. Her two best friends are Trout and Mica. When the novel opens, Calwyn is returning to Antaris with Trout and Mica.

Calwyn was born outside of the city of Antaris because her mother ran away before Calwyn was born. Calwyn's mother returned with Calwyn to Antaris when Calwyn was a baby. After her mother dies, Calwyn remains with the priestesses in Antaris. While growing up in Antaris, Calwyn learns to sing, which are chantments that hold magical powers.

Calwyn too ran away from Antaris the previous year. She ran away with the boy she loves, Darrow. Calwyn is returning to Antaris because she has lost her powers. She is hoping to return to Antaris to find a way to get her powers back.
