Spring has blossomed in Antaris. Calwyn is preparing for her journey the next day to spread her new knowledge around Tremaris. First, she is in the cemetery saying goodbye to Marna and Mica. Trout is still heartbroken over the loss of Mica. This makes the group realize that he was really in love with her.

Briaali has returned to her people to start teaching her part in saving Tremaris. Together, the groups have performed two more ceremonies. Each time, Tremaris seems to be more functional and normal.
