The Frozen Forest Summary

Mica, Trout and Calwyn go with a group of sisters to retrieve Darrow and his friends from the wall. Halassaa asks Calwyn if her powers have returned before Darrow hugs Calwyn. The, Calwyn sees a fourth figure, which is Keela. When Keela greets Calwyn, Keela also reveals to Calwyn that Darrow has caught the chanter's plague.

Calwyn tells Halsaa about the snow-sickness originating from Antaris. She also tells him about the broken wheel and about Samis having the other piece. As the group makes their way back into the village, Mica tells Calwyn that she's not going to go on the journey to Gellan. Mica says she and Gilly want to work together to melt the ice and snow in the village so the goats can feed and they can plant some vegetables.
