Summary

In “Good Night,” Manami “was in love” with Yukihiko Nishino, but never acted as if she was in love with him (46). She was three years older, and Yukihiko’s superior at the office where they worked (46). Because she wanted “to be successful” at her job, she “had no intention of conducting an affair at the office” (46). As soon as he was assigned to her division, however, she fell in love (46).
