V.S. Ramachandran
This individual is a neuroscientist, and the author of The Tell-Tale Brain, as well as other books on neurological phenomenon. He originally studied to be a physician, and then earned a Ph.D. from Trinity College at the University of Cambridge. He started out researching visual perception, but became famous studying behavioral neurology. He is most well-known for conducting simple experiments that reveal deep insights.
Ramachandran is currently the director of the Center for Brain and Cognition, as well as a Distinguished Professor of psychology and neurology at the University of California, San Diego and an adjunct professor at the Salk Institute. Because of this, he is able to bring the perspective of both a teacher and a researcher to his writing. He references both patients and students of his through The Tell-Tale Brain.
