Part II The Road of Trials, Chapters 6-7 Summary
The first two chapters of Part II presents almost a pleasant picture of life and the inhabitants of the Territories as Jack starts his journey, until we delve a little deeper and see that underneath the surface political tensions are heating up.
Chapter 6 'The Queen's Pavilion' begins with Jack in the Territories and hitching a ride to the local encampment. He immediately understands that the people here have a kind of technological level equal to the middle ages, and that they speak in a language that he automatically understands. He travels without speaking to the driver of the cart and gets to the local encampment.
