Pierson
A small town located in Illinois, Pierson is the primary setting for the novel's events. Pierson is where Becky grows up with her father and attends school. After graduation, she remains here instead of going off to college. Though she is initially embarrassed by her life in her hometown, her new job at the Town Hall energizes her.
