Point of View

This novel is told from the point of view of a third person narrator. This narrator tells the story from Ray’s perspective, detailing his thoughts, emotions, and actions. The narrator is not omniscient. He relates things from only Ray’s viewpoint. The reader is given information only as Ray receives it. Thus, the outcome of the novel is as much a shock to Ray as it is to the reader.
