Chapter 15, Bloodmoss Summary

Lyra and Will travel on through increasingly tough terrain. Will's hand is no better. Serafina Pekkala says that Lee Scoresby needs her, and she flies away before she has time to explain. Lyra asks Will if he knows why they must find his father. Will says that he has always known that he must find him. Lyra understands how tired Will is. As the children walk, the witches make sure they have water and keep an eye out for anyone who might be following. Lena Feldt, one the witches, goes back to spy and sees Mrs. Coulter, who is accompanied by men who have no daemons; none inside, none outside. Lena makes the spell to be invisible and spies on Mrs. Coulter and her companion, and older man with gray hair whom she calls Carlo. Mrs. Coulter, who the man calls...
