Summary
In this chapter the reader finds out that Dwight wore a ridiculously ugly sweater to school. Harvey made fun of him and so did Keller, to an extent. Dwight saw Caroline come into the room and he waved to her. Harvey made fun of him more because he realized Dwight dressed up to impress her. Dwight had enough, called Harvey a jerk, and left.
Analysis
The sweater is a symbol of Dwight expressing himself, but also trying to look good for the person he likes, Caroline. In the chapter it is revealed that Dwight has brought new pencils for her and intended to give them to Caroline, but Harvey embarrassed him to the point that he leaves. Harvey is starting to become the antagonist of the story seeing as he is always putting the others down.
