Summary

In “The Escape,” the Strange Bird, a biotech creation that is a mix of different animals and technology, experiences the world for the first time. The Strange Bird, who was confined to a laboratory where she was tested on, escapes into the night sky filled with stars and experiences the joy of flight. A break in the narration ushers in a transition to daytime where the Strange Bird now feels the light of the sun. The sun blinds the Strange Bird who then falls out of her perch onto the desert sand.
