Summary
The voice continued to address Gustavo through the speaker in the room, using a disdainful tone and addressing Gustavo as Fancioulle. The voice told Gustavo a parable about Jesus and challenged Gustavo to interpret it. Gustavo saw a door in the room and exited through it. He found the source of the voice in a nearby room. Siddhartha was dressed up as a clown and is speaking into a microphone. When he noticed Gustavo, he recited a parable about a horse’s teeth and challenged Gustavo to interpret it. He insulted Gustavo and continued to call him Fancioulle. Internally, Gustavo recalled the first time he was ever scared by a clown. He was with El Perro, and they accidentally saw a clown defecating near a subway track. When Gustavo laughed, the clown yelled and lunged at them before breaking down in tears.
