Trudy Summary

Trudy regrets having sent away Edgar, and reflects on the time since he left. Trudy reflects on growing closer to Claude, and on being finally able to say goodbye to Gar. She wonders how she will ever tell Edgar about Almondine's death.

Trudy is heartbroken at having sent away Edgar, and also heartbroken at Almondine's death. Almondine was Trudy's one truly personal link to Edgar (and Gar) still alive on the farm.
