Funeral Summary
Papineau makes dinner for Gar and Trudy, and spends the night. Trudy makes more calls, among them, Claude. Trudy and Gar spend the night in the living room. The next morning, they head out to handle chores and Papineau leaves. Trudy and Gar then head into town to the police station to talk to Glen Papineau, the doctor's son and sheriff.
Glen, Trudy, and Gar recount the events of the day before. They return home, and Edgar begins assuming more responsibilities on the farm. It is revealed that Tinder appears to be the most obedient of the pups that Edgar is raising.
Claude does not attend Gar's funeral services, Edgar notices. But Claude shows up later at the burial.
Funeral Analysis
Gar is buried, and Doctor Papineau is revealed as a loyal Sawtelle family friend. Edgar and Trudy begin work on the farm...
