Summary
Lila is desperate to see Nino. She considers various schemes on how to reach him. One day in early September, Nino appears in the grocery store, drunk. Lila acts quickly and propels him out of the store and back to her house. Her mind is a tunnel and she doesn't see or think of anyone. They make love, and then the reality of what could happen occurs to Lila, and she forces him to leave. In the meantime she acts as pliable as possible to everyone around her.
In Chapter 86, Lila's first priority is to get Nino back to himself. He is obsessed with having her constantly, and when he's not with her, he drinks and smokes himself into oblivion.
