Summary

Elena loses her job with the little girls. Lila is too busy with the new grocery store to really notice. She actually tells Elena that she is waging war against everybody around her that has allied themselves with Michele. She is wound tight with anxiety and Elena is worried for her. The night the new grocery store opens, Lila is terrible and provoking to Stefano. As the new shoe store on the Piazza prepares to open, she gets worse. The pregnancy has confused and bothered her, and she takes her angst out on everyone. Soon Lila has an idea--she will let the men display the photo "but only in her way". Elena goes with her to make some changes to it. Lila disfigures the photo with strips of black paper, making it abstract, but still beautiful. Rino, Pinuccia, and Gigilola are openly against...
