Dinesh
Dinesh is an outsider in the camp due to his age and gender—most able-bodied men his age are conscripted into the war by the movement or killed by the government. This makes him a careful, level-headed person, as he takes precautions to remain out of the movement’s sight by sleeping outside of the camp and keeping a low profile. However, he is shown to take risks for reasons that appear frivolous, like his decision to walk down to the beach to empty his bowels, and his resolve to enter the camp in the middle of the night to bathe and wash his clothes.
